We would pile on the [tour] bus and watch it and I was kind of a fanatic about it, like, Dont talk during The Voice! But [Blake] didnt tell me any inside [info] I didnt want to know, she continued. I liked to watch as a fan, as a viewer. Blakes Voice experience has continued to live on, despite the show currently being on hiatus, as Miranda said theyve adopted his two favorite aspiring The Voice singers into their fold. Definitely weve taken on two new family members Dia Frampton and Xenia from the show, she told Access, adding that she and her new band are planning to write music with the two former Voice contestants. We have such great friends, she explained. We had friends in the wedding that were from childhood and then friends from adulthood. So, we said that they were all maids of honor and best men because theyre all that close to us. Its hard to make new friends in this business so we cherish our friendships, she added. As for married life, Miranda said shes enjoying being a wife, but said having children is not an immediate priority. We have seven rescue dogs. So, no, Miranda told Access when asked if she and Blake are ready for children. Every time we get a new puppy we realize were not ready for a child! Copyright 2011 by NBC Universal, Inc. EMMYS: Q&A With Scott Buck Of 'Dexter'
Six-time Emmy nominee Scott Buck had writing and creating stints on HBO's Six Ft Under and Rome before joining the Showtimeserial-killer-with-a-heart-of-gold drama Dexter because of its second season in 2007. He's labored his in place from co-executive producer toshowrunner (he was named last December) prior to shooting the shows sixth season thatpremieres on October second.Dexter arrived its4th consecutive Outstanding Drama Series Emmy nomination this time around around the firstShowtime series to accomplish this particular task. Buck spokewith Deadline TV Contributor RayRichmond: DEADLINE: So Dexter had its greatest rankings ever throughout Season Five. You averaged a lot more than 5 million audiences per week between regular TV as well as on-demand. But a big change is perfect for Season Six and you are elevatedto showrunner. Why? SCOTTBUCK: Yes, we'd just came off an excellent year. However the reveal that I had been arriving to operate had gone through lots of changes due to in which the story was alone. I suppose someone thought that the time had come for achange and Id gained the promotion. Though as Ive never operate a show before,it is not employment I take gently. Im swimming as quickly as I'm able to to chop lower on thelearning curve. DEADLINE: Usuallythese transitions arentsmooth. BUCK: Thatsprobably true. Personally i think fortunate for the reason that regard. It had been kind of a mixture ofmy being drafted and volunteering. Ive already found how different it isrunning a show from becoming an professional producer. During my previous job, theresponsibility was wholly writing. With this particular, Im supervisory the writing andeverything else. So its much more responsibilityand a bit more money. Letme just state that it wasnt a situation which i eagerly went after.I waspretty happy doing things i did before. Managing a show is definitely an entirely differentanimal. Its greatly a learning process, and Im doing the very best I'm able to.Thankfully, Im working with many different very wise, very skilled people. DEADLINE: Now Dexter makes Showtime Emmy history. BUCK: I had been because a author and executiveproducer, which Emmy nominations arent something which anybody around heretakes as a given. Your day the nominations emerge is definitely a large cause of celebrationand heading out for drinks. DEADLINE: Though itwould most likely be even cooler if everyone finally won within the dramacategory. BUCK: Ofcourse. But getting nominated each year is not too shabby, either. DEADLINE: How didyou arrived at Dexter in the 2ndseason? BUCK: I had been working onRome at that time when get married all heard the concept that Showtime could be doing ashow in which a serial killer was charge. It appeared just like a absurd idea thatno you ought to take seriously whatsoever. I am talking about, it simply seemed so hokey. But whenI heard Michael C. Hall could be starring, it got my attention, because I reliable hisjudgment. Its interesting how a concept has morphed. The Dexter characterhas developed a lot season after season. Hes remarkably different now than hewas at first. We'd the authors all re-watch Season One before we gotstarted this season of Season Six. We wanted to return to a number of that fun theyhad throughout the very first season. It startled us just how much Dexter themself had changedfrom individuals first couple of episodes. DEADLINE: So what can we expect for Season Six? BUCK: Weskipped ahead annually this year and washed the slate, and Dexter is finallydone grieving losing his wife in the finish of Season 4. Hes largely dealtwith that now in Season 6. Hes place it previously, and now be seeing astronger Dexter than in the past. And hopefully, we will not be killing off anymajor character this year. But head to feet, from your cast to the crew, weall feel especially excited and vitalized and motivated this season. DEADLINE: You have to getasked constantly when Dexteris finally likely to wrap like a series. BUCK: To beperfectly honest, it hasnt show up yet for discussion.Imean, counseled me confident that it'll show up. But weren't working towardthe finish at this time. How youll wrap may be the type of factor you'd like to learn atleast a season ahead of time, and that we havent talked about it yet whatsoever, so thatshould let you know something. Everybody may wish to sign in and theyll all do itwith a rather different concept of what ought to be done. And well definitelyhear everyones ideas. DEADLINE: So yourerunning a democracyon Dexter as opposed to a dictatorship? BUCK: Iguess I'm.
