Rebecca Arbogast to Comcast
Rebecca Arbogast is joining Comcast as Vice president of global public policy within the conglom's D.C. office. Arbogast continues to be controlling director at Stifel Financial, where she concentrates on legal and regulating issues affecting media, communications and technology companies. Arbogast will are accountable to Kyle McSlarrow, leader of Comcast/NBCU for Washington. Arbogast became a member of the Stifel Nicolaus research team in 2005, when Legg Mason's Capital Marketplaces Group was acquired by Stifel. She'd been with Legg Mason since 2001 and formerly offered as chief from the FCC's worldwide bureau telecommunications division. She also offered at work of a lawyer in the Justice Dept. She's the most recent high-profile hire in Comcast's lobbying operation. McSlarrow became a member of early in the year after heading the nation's Cable & Telecommunications Assn., and Meredith Attwell Baker became a member of within the summer time as senior Vice president of government matters for NBCU after becoming a commissioner from the FCC.
